The device, which appeals to gamers with AMD Ryzen 6980HX processor and NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti graphics card, is also quite ambitious with its 4 TB Gen 4 SSD and up to 64 GB RAM.

mini LED display

ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 comes with a mini-LED Nebula HDR Display and Dual Spec Panel, which offers two different resolutions. Developed with BOE, one of the big screen manufacturers, Duo 16 uses the world’s first Dual Spec panel. The screen can switch from 4K 120Hz to FHD 240Hz. ROG Zephyrus Duo 16, which does not have to choose between high resolution or high refresh rates while playing games, makes it possible to experience two different screens on a single device. The second screen with 4K resolution, using IPS technology, offers a refresh rate of 165 Hz as well as having the ScreenPad Plus touch panel feature.

Equipped with the ROG Nebula display, the device offers a much wider viewing experience than ever before with its 16:10 aspect ratio. Providing deeper contrast and higher brightness than traditional LED screens with VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification and Pantone privilege, the mini LED screen also has a wide color palette covering all 100% DCI-P3 colors.

The new version of Duo 16 also has a strong design in terms of better cooling performance. The raised structure used on the second screen provides a large 28.5mm airflow, offering up to 30 percent more airflow. This system, which increases the performance of the computer, emits 3 Db less noise. Thus, the gaming experience becomes much more concentrated and enjoyable.

Powerful components like the processor need a thermal interface material to transfer their heat to the cooling system. The 2022 version of the Duo 16 uses Conductonaut Extreme, Thermal Grizzly’s new ultra-high performance liquid metal thermal compound. This technology improves on standard thermal pastes with 17 times higher thermal conductivity, enabling processor temperatures down to 15°C. Used only by ROG, this indium and gallium compound offers the highest thermal transfer available in a laptop.
